The most popular panic attacks treatment today is through the use of medication.
The medical industry has created numerous different medicines that affect different anxiety attack symptoms.

Popular medications of this type are Paxil, Zoloft, and Prozac.
Anti-anxiety medications are also very popular, as they reduce the chance of an attack striking.
Xanax is very popular and has been clinically proven to have positive results.
While medications can have amazing benefits, there are also very big potential downsides.
Anti-anxiety and SSRI medications are addictive and people tend to build up a tolerance to them very quickly.
While medications as a panic attacks treatment can have great results initially, there is a very high chance that once a person stops taking the medication, the attacks will return.
The panic attacks treatment that will be more rewarding in the long term is through therapy.
Psychotherapy or behavioral treatment works to help minimize the symptoms over time, and hopefully making them disappear over time.
The main goal is to reassure the patient his/her symptoms will pass with time and there are no real repercussions from their anxiety attack.
