How To Attach Feathers to the Party Mask

    • 1). Decide what color of feathers you would like to apply to your mask. You can pick a particular theme, perhaps black and white, or integrate different colors and sizes of feathers.

    • 2). Visualize what your mask will look like. This is your creation, and it is up to you to figure out how many feathers you want to add, how densely they will be placed and in what sort of arrangement. The number of feathers you need will depend on whether you want your mask to be completely covered or if you want to space them out and apply only a couple to select areas.

    • 3). With the clear craft glue, start to attach the feathers to the mask. First put a coating of glue on the surface of the mask, then lay the individual feather down with the the quill pointing toward the mask's eye holes. Then add a bit of glue to the tip, but don't glue down the fluffy parts. Continue adding more feathers.

    • 4). Layer the feathers. If you plan on covering the entire mask, you will want to layer the feathers so that they overlap each other. Place one feather just over the edge of the last, keeping each tip pointed toward the eye holes.

    • 5). When the glue has dried, cut off the mask's elastic band and in its place put a decorative ribbon of your choosing. Tie one end of the ribbon off by putting it through one eye hole and around the outside of the mask. Measure the correct length of ribbon to fit you head and then tie off the other end.
