Painting Over Marker on a Wall
- 1). Spray hair spray on the marker stain. Dab with paper towels. The marker will begin to come off onto the paper towel. Continue dabbing until you have removed as much marker as possible, using additional hair spray as needed.
- 2). Clean the wall with a damp sponge. Let the wall dry for a few hours.
- 3). Cover the floor with a dropcloth and trim the edges and baseboards with painter's tape.
- 4). Pour primer into a paint tray, then apply a coat of primer using a roller for large areas and a paintbrush for the trim. Let dry overnight.
- 5). Apply a top coat of paint. Let dry overnight. Repeat if necessary.
