How to Filter the Yeast Out of Beer
- 1). Turn off and disconnect the CO2 tank from the current tank of beer. Disconnect any currently used kegs and hoses from your beer dispenser. You want to use fresh hoses and couplers for filtration to ensure an uncontaminated transfer of beer.
- 2). Twist on and connect one of the fresh keg couplers to the full keg of finished beer. Reconnect the CO2 tank to the full keg of beer. Connect one beer line jumper hose from the top of the coupler to the dispenser lever. Use prefabricated hose connectors to secure an attachment to the coupler.
- 3). Remove a connector from one end of the second hose. Fit this end over the beer dispenser nozzle. Twist on and connect the opposite end to the polypropylene yeast filtration cartridge.
- 4). Twist on and connect one end of the third hose to the opposite end of the cartridge. Connect the opposite end of the third hose to the empty keg.
- 5). Turn on the CO2 tank. Pull the beer dispenser lever and filter the beer. Watch the beer draw up from the full keg, filter through the cartridge, and end up in the empty keg.
