How God Is Using Sanctions for His Perfect Timing With Iran
President Obama is committed to a negotiated solution with Iran; the president himself indicated that this week.
This means, that, say what he will, the president does not have the possibility of a military attack on the table.
Instead, President Obama is using sanctions in an attempt to lure Iranian leaders to the table for talks.
On Monday, President Obama tightened sanctions on Iran by freezing property related to the Central Bank of Iran.
However, because the U.
S.
has sanctioned transactions with Iran for an entire decade, and because has so few assets in America, these new measures are unlikely to have much effect.
So why is the president making such a spectacle of these measures? Consider that this is an election year.
Well, enough said about that.
Also consider that it is widely known that the president does not want Israel to launch a military strike on Iran.
President Obama has sent a parade of emissaries to Israel in recent weeks in an attempt to persuade Israeli leaders from launching an attack, with no visible success.
So, what could the president do that would delay a strike by the Jewish state? He could introduce new sanctions against Iran.
Whenever new sanctions are introduced-either by the U.
S.
or Europe (or both)-pressure is put upon Israeli leaders to give the sanctions time to work.
This means Israel feels put upon NOT to attack Iran.
However, Iran has never responded to the Obama administration's invitations to talk.
Now, IAEA (the U.
N.
International Atomic Energy Agency) officials state that Iran's leaders believe they can resist pressure on their nuclear program.
This is further indication that the president's plan of getting Iranian leaders to negotiate will be of no effect.
On the other hand, Israeli leaders feel that offers to negotiate and sanctions on Iran are too late.
They believe that a military strike is the only way to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Furthermore, the current Iranian regime will never allow Israel to dwell in peace.
Thus, the ultimate remedy appears to be an Iranian regime change.
Based on the collapsing Iranian currency (the rial), out-of-control inflation, and coming sanctions, there is a rising panic on the streets of Iran.
After all, Iran's currency is plummeting in value, with the black market rate for the dollar now standing at 18,800 rials when, in December, it was valued at 12,500 rials.
That is nearly a 50% devaluation in one month! Furthermore, it was revealed this week that Iran defaulted on payments to India.
As a sign of mounting economic troubles, the Persian state could not come through on payments for 200,000 tons of rice from its top supplier India.
Yet, with all of the troubles facing the Iranian regime, it will not succumb to talks with the U.
S.
This is because it is on a mission propagated by religious zeal.
Thus, Iranian leaders are willing to sacrifice the nation-and perhaps, millions of lives, if that is what it takes-to fulfill the Mahdi-driven goal of Islamic domination of the world.
However, the struggles for the regime and the internal shaking of the nation appear to be part of God's preparation to bring down the regime.
It may well be that God is producing cracks in the Iranian foundation and, by so doing, He may be nurturing the growing opposition movement.
This could be vital preparation for the timing of an Israeli attack.
An Israeli strike could make possible the possibility of the opposition movement taking advantage of the resulting chaos produced by the attack and bring down the regime.
With the deposing of the Iranian terrorist government, change will be produced rapidly in the Middle East.
This change will bring defeat to regional terrorism in general, opening the way for the end-times treaty with Israel and the belief among world leaders that they have achieved "peace and security" (cf.
1 Thess.
5:3).
Thus, the current developments appear to be preparing the way for an exciting series of events in the (very?) near future.
In the meantime, God is using the White House's attempts to stall an Israeli attack to work His plan according to His perfect timing.
This is what God does, as He uses leaders (cf.
Proverbs 21:1) to accomplish His plan in His perfect timing.
But when the time is perfectly right in God's eyes, Israel WILL attack Iran; and then God will unfold His drama, leading to the fulfillment of end-times Bible prophecy.
