You must be well aware with the all time saying €prevention is better than cure€. With increasing awareness towards healthy living, people are now keenly looking for the ways to improve their diet, which can keep their body slim and fit. And what would be more better than starting off the day with a glass of smoothies. Highly recommended by the health experts and physicians, they have ultimately become a part of our health conscious lifestyle. And one of the great thing about these smoothies are that, they can be easily prepared at your home within a couple of minutes by using the smoothie machines.

The smoothie makers creating a big impact today, are considered an essential part of a healthy diet routine for those who very well know the benefits of intaking fresh fruits and vegetables juices. They not only help you in mixing smoothies and milkshakes, but is also capable of crushing ice, making frozen yogurt, snow ice, slush drinks and even cocktails.

Previously blenders were the most common household appliances used everywhere for blending fruits into delicious drinks. But with passage of time, gradually these blenders got replaced and new and modern smoothie makers came into picture. But adding to your knowledge, there are not too many differences between a smoothie maker and a jug blender, however there are some. And those are stated below:
The main difference between a smoothie maker and a standard blender is, the smoothie maker's ability to crush ice. Even though you put the ice in a blender, you won't get finely crushed ice to make a smooth smoothie. A smoothie maker liquefies the fruit instead of just crushing it into smaller chunks as a blender does.
When it comes to appearance, a blender and smoothie differs slightly. A blender has a glass or plastic jar that sits atop the base. Attached by a plastic cap, the blade inside the jar whirls at different speeds depending upon your selection. But a smoothie maker has a lot more components in it which helps making your job simpler. It has spigot which helps dispensing the smoothie you just made. A stirring stick is also there in the lid to stir the jar contents so that they get blend properly.
Another thing that a smoothie maker has over the blender is, its ability to make and keep frozen drinks. You can use ice in your blender but they eventually get melt while a smoothie maker has a frozen capacity in its base, depending upon the one you buy.

A blender can even make a smoothie but not as effectively as like a smoothie machine does. But if you don't mind having small chunks of fruits in your drinks, then going with a blender can also work just as well.
