How to Make a Rectangular Pillow
- 1). Cut out an 18-inch wide and 48-inch long rectangle from cotton fabric using scissors.
- 2). Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise with the right sides together. Insert straight pins along the edges, leaving a 1/2-inch seam allowance.
- 3). Sew around the pinned edges, leaving 4 inches unsewn. Remove the straight pins.
- 4). Turn the pillow form right side out through the 4-inch hole.
- 5). Fill the pillow with cotton batting, making it as full as you prefer. Turn the edges of the 4-inch opening in by 1/2-inch, and then sew it closed.
- 6). Trim off all of the excess thread using scissors.
