Kathie's husband runs a warehouse, where he rescued a litter of six kittens and brought them home to foster. They found homes for four of the kittens, and kept Karamel and Rhapsody for their own. By their actions, they not only saved the world from another six feral cats, but saved the space in the local animal shelter for needy cats.

Kathie shares her philosophy and some advice: "All Cats deserve a happy warm home to grow up in.

I saw these two kittens and knew that these were the ones for me. If anyone is considering getting a kitten, talk to somone who has experience with little ones, so you can be sure you are up to this responsibility. Also, always go to a shelter and find one there. And be sure and get them neutered or spayed as soon as possible! I would also recommend getting them spayed before they go into heat for the first time."
