How to Repair a Pelikan Nib Feed
- 1). Unscrew the long section of the pen. Remove the ink cartridge.
- 2). Blow through the nib tip from the ink side to see whether it's clotted.
- 3). Scrub the nib and feed lightly with an old toothbrush if it's clotted to remove any residue.
- 4). Check the nib tips. They should be straight and evenly spaced. If they aren't, carefully bend them into place with your fingernails, working from the bottom to the tips.
- 5). Check the gap between the nibs. The tines should just meet and touch at the tip. If they are too wide, press them together gently.
- 6). Widen the tines if they are touching before they meet the tip by gently separating them with a razor blade.
- 7). Reassemble the Pelikan pen. The ink should now flow freely through the nib feed.
