Protect yourself from germs and bacteria present on animal carcasses or in feces and urine. Wear a face mask to avoid inhalation of dust and dirt from feces. Use rubber gloves and old clothes that can be thrown out afterward to provide a protective barrier for your skin. - 2). Remove dead animal carcasses with a shovel. Dispose of the carcasses in a sealed trash bag.
- 3). Fill a spray bottle with water. Spray the floor where the dead animal was, as well as the surrounding area. Wetting the floor prevents germ-laden dust from becoming airborne as you clean up and deodorize the area.
- 4). Pick up rodent feces and wipe away urine stains with paper towels. Discard in a trash bag.
