There are more than 70,000 acres of public hunting lands, as well as many private hunting areas. Dutchman's Huntin' Paradise near Millersburg is in the Amish country in Holmes County. The operation is on a 600-acre ranch that is managed as a deer hunting preserve. You are guaranteed to see plenty of deer and to get a good shot toward at least one deer.
Two-day hunts include lodging at the hunting lodge. The lodge has private bathrooms and bedrooms, a game room, ample living room, as well as washer and dryer. You may use their full kitchen to prepare your meals. One meal a day is provided at a local Amish restaurant.
Transportation to and from the airport, as well as to the hunting grounds, is provided. Guides put you in position to make a kill. Guides will field dress your animal and help you with processing.
Hunts start early in the morning with a break for brunch. Guides use a two-seater "mule" for spotting and stalking deer.

Stands are provided, and guides will put you in a place to make a kill. They will help you get your animal out of the woods.

Hunts are semi guided, meaning you get as much--or as little--guiding as you want. Some areas are baited, while others are not, depending on the area.
Young hunters are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult. There are special rates for members of the military, and if you harvest a coyote you will get a free hunt the following year. Meat poles and a walk in freezer are provided for you to store your deer while you continue to hunt.
Lodging can be whatever you want it to be. You may camp where you hunt in a primitive setting, or campers are available. Base camp has showers, washer and dryer and cooking facilities.
Company owners will provide lodging at local cabins or hotels if you prefer.
