How to Clean Mildew From Bricks
- 1). Mix about four large cups of water with one cup of bleach and a half cup of detergent (dish washing or fabric detergent). Put the solution in a large spray bottle.
- 2). Screw on your garden hose to a nearby pipe and turn on the faucet. Hose down the area thoroughly to wet it for applying the solution
- 3). Put on your protective clothing, gloves and eye wear. Spray the combined solution on the area affected by the mildew. Let it stay for about fifteen minutes.
- 4). Use a scouring brush or broom to scour or sweep the area quite thoroughly. This will loosen up the mildew from the brick.
- 5). Use the garden hose or power wash to wash the area where the solution was applied. You don't want to leave the smell of bleach in that area.
