  The Land of 10,000 Lakes has a lot to offer campers who are looking for lakeside sites, including an array of wildlife and a wide variety of activities. Many of Minnesota's lakeside campgrounds are family-oriented and provide fun for everyone, whether in the rec room, on a hiking trail or, of course, on the water. Fox Lake Campground

• Fox Lake Campground is located in Bemidji, Minnesota, on Fox Lake. Tent campers and RV campers are both welcome. Campers registering in their name must be at least 21. Fox Lake Campground is home to many wild animals, including loons and bald eagles. Activities include swimming, volleyball, basketball, canoeing, paddle boating and fishing for walleye, Northern pike, bass and panfish. Pets are allowed on the campground as long as they are on a leash that is no more than six inches in length. Owners of pets must clean up after them. The campground offers a game room, grocery store, wireless Internet access, cable television, restrooms, showers and a laundry facility.

Crow Wing Lake Campground

• Crow Wing Lake Campground is located in Brainerd, Minnesota, two hours from the Twin Cities. Campers enjoy bluegill fishing, swimming, a recreational room, Frisbee golf, volleyball, badminton, horse shoes, shuffleboard and basketball. The campground features electric, water and sewer hookups, a grocery store, restrooms, laundry facilities and a fish cleaning house.

Flying Goose Campground

• Flying Goose Campground, located in Fairmont, Minnesota, on Lake Imogene, is a family-oriented campground that offers activities such as Ping-Pong, foosball, family movie nights, miniature golf, hiking along a scenic trail, paddle boating, canoeing and hay rides. There are also Sunday chapel services. Conveniences include a grocery store, restrooms, hot showers, laundry facilities, LP gas sales and free wireless Internet access.
