30 Places for a Special Mother"s Day Brunch on a Budget

106 58

Let's be honest. For most people, spending $200 or more for a dinner for a family of four on Mother's Day just isn't a viable option. In some cases, the adult beverage costs as much as a meal in less expensive restaurant! Unless you have excess cash, the expense just isn't necessary.

If taking your mother, grandmother, aunt or other special lady out to eat is your preference, just about every restaurant in America is open, serving their regular menu on Mother's Day.

If you are focusing on finding a special menu to celebrate the occasion, here are some restaurants where you can get a Mother's Day meal for $30 per person or less. They are listed here in no particular order.

Please keep the following in mind:
  • A prix-fixe menu does not usually include beverages, tax or tip. Let's say your meal is priced at $25 per person. Add a soft drink, tax and a 20% tip and you are looking at a total of about $37. That's just an estimate for illustration purposes. The point is, don't forget any other additions to the prices mentioned here. Unless otherwise stated, beverages, tax and tip are NOT included.
  • If you are considering one of the restaurants below offering a special à la carte menu, be aware that I estimated $30 or less based on the availability of at least a few entrees and a dessert. Obviously, how much you'll pay depends on what you order.
  • There might be a children's menu or children's pricing, even though it isn't mentioned here. Ask when you call.
  • Unless otherwise specified, the special is good on Sunday, Mother's Day, only.

  • Call the restaurant in advance to see if they take reservations. Mother's Day is one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants, so you'll want to reserve a table, if possible.
