How to Make Beach Invitations
- 1). Fold a sheet of 8 1/2 inch-by-11-inch cardstock in half so that the fold of the invitation is on the left side. Use the ruler and scoring tool to create a straight and easy fold.
- 2). Trim decorative paper using wavy decorative scissors to represent the waves of the ocean. Use a piece of decorative paper that is long enough to cover the front of the invitation from top to bottom and then trim along the right side of the paper with the decorative scissors so that a piece of the invitation shows. Adhere it to the front of the invitation using craft glue.
- 3). Adhere a few small shells, a single large shell or a small dried starfish to the front of the invitation using glue dots.
- 4). Print the invitation verse and personalized details on a precut piece of 5-inch-by-7-inch vellum. Allow the ink to dry on the vellum overnight and use a clear-dry glue stick to adhere the vellum sheet to the inside right panel of the invitation. Be careful not to touch or rub the ink because it can smear on the vellum.
