Dallas is the third largest city in the state of Texas and home to a variety of diverse attractions that are appropriate for small or large school groups on a field trip. Whether you are visiting from out of town or are part of a local group, there is something that will appeal to all age groups and interests in this culturally diverse metropolitan area. - Dallas has numerous museums that would be educational for older students who can relate the themes to their studies. The Museum of Nature and Science houses an IMAX theater as well as a planetarium where students can learn about the planet and all of its creatures.
The Dallas Museum of Art is an option for artistic students, who can see collections of art that span from African to Medieval European to Modern.
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealy Plaza is located in the building that was known as the Texas School Book Depository, from which Lee Harvey Oswald shot President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
