It's cheaper, more comprehensive and informative and it's often much more up to date than than the info of the pro at your local track.
Forget dropping $90 dollars an hour to listen to a once-was ball striker that spends that vast majority of their time giving golf lessons the same way they have for years and years to beginners and hackers.
Instead, why not go with the folks training huge numbers of high level players online.
They're the pros providing the high caliber programs and they're where you want to go to get some real golf training.
Online golf programs are often created by world class instructors.
They're reviewed by thousands of players and thus refined constantly by providers.
They're affordable and they often offer you a refund if you don't like the information.
Try getting that from your driving range instructor.
Another huge benefit of getting golf lessons online is that you can go back and reference them again and again whenever you wish.
They often come with videos, books and written information on the game and you're typically able to get updated information from them should it come available for a period after you've made your initial purchase.
In a world that's going more online everyday, it's no wonder that golf lessons have followed suit.
One thing's for sure though, your money should still be saved for playing the real game versus spending green fees on golf lessons that may or may not pay off.

The singular area a live instructor wins out when it comes to golf lessons is in regards to real time analysis.

That being said, taking a video with your phone or your camera should give you some pretty instant feedback too and here's the best part: You can take your tape home and compare it to the program information you have on your computer as many times as you like.
All the top coaches do this type of analysis to improve players in all kinds of pro sports.
Keep in mind, this type of analysis costs a pretty penny and takes a fair amount of time to do if you're going to go through a course pro.
Dare it be said, it's nowhere near as much fun either.
It's an absolute riot to take a few videos of your own personal swing and race home to check them out and take some direct notes on your swing and empower your own game through self-guided golf lessons.
