Can I Use Other Dies in a Hornady Lock-N-Load?
- The Lock-N-Load system uses bushings that attach to the loading press and accept threaded dies. When the die has been set to the desired depth and locked into position, the bushing can then be removed from the press and later replaced, with the die returning to its original position.
- Hornady Lock-N-Load bushings will accept standard dies made by any manufacturer. The dies will need only to be threaded into the bushing and set into place. Once this is done, the die can be removed and replaced via the bushing.
- Hornady produces die bushing sets to allow reloaders to use the Lock-N-Load system with their existing dies. Bushing are sold in packages of two, three and 10. Hornady bushings are sold by sporting goods dealers that carry Hornady reloading supplies.
