How to Clean Porcelain Floor Tile
- 1). Prevent dirt from entering your home by not allowing people to wear shoes in your home. It is recommended that your floors are swept or vacuumed twice a week.
- 2). Sweep the floors with soft bristled broom. Sweep in two directions to insure dirt is removed from all surfaces.
- 3). Mop the floor by saturating it with a neutral general purpose cleaner, then scrubbing the surface. Always make sure to rinse the surface with water after cleaning to remove the cleaner.
- 4). Do not clean the floors with bleach or ammonia based cleaners as they may discolor the floors.
- 5). A mixture of 1/4 cup vinegar to 2 gallons of water used for cleaning does wonders for your flooring.
