How to Shine a Floor
- 1). Dampen a clean cloth with clear water.
- 2). Rub the cloth over a 2-foot section of the floor.
- 3). Immediately dry that area with a microfiber cloth. Work in a circular motion if the floor is tile, and work with the grain if the floor is wood. Buff floors until they shine. If the floor is very large, use a microfiber mop.
- 4). Continue the process with the rest of the floor.
- 1). Apply floor shine to a microfiber cloth. Choose a floor shine designed for your particular floor. Weiman and Bonakemi are wood floor polish brands, while Magellan manufactures a natural stone floor polish. Armstrong makes a vinyl floor polish.
- 2). Rub the floor shine over the floors with a microfiber cloth or mop, using a circular motion.
- 3). Buff off the floor shine with another clean microfiber cloth or a new mop head.
