No One Told My Son He Couldn"t
My son Federico is 10 months old and I spend my Saturday playing with him all day.
One thing that amazes me about him is that he doesn't know yet he can't do anything.
If you ever watch a child at his age learning to walk as he is now, he is not fully aware of the fact that he can't walk.
He knows that he wants to and he knows that he should.
So he tries regardless and takes about 10 steps and then tumblesdown and he simply crawls the rest of the way.
Although he is a little afraid he tries anyway and does the best he can and one thing I have noticed more than anything about him is he never gives in.
As he grows older, unfortunately, he will learn fear and he will learn "can't".
People will say to him "you can't do that" and he will learn "I can't do that", but we never think back to those days when we just did it.
He will believe that he can't do things just the same as everyone else, but hopefully I can be there for him to remind him that he can.
It's a shame what we believe about ourselves! What if when we wanted to start our own business, our friends, family and society didn't tell us "you can't do that".
How different do you think the world we be? The lies we believe about ourselves come from our heads, while the truth about ourselves comes from our hearts.
We should listen to our hearts more often and follow our dreams and our passions.
Creating wealth is no different.
I thought I would try a new concept and see if I can make money from absolutely nothing and when I told my friends that i was just going to go outside and ask people to help me with spare cash in their pockets, they told me "you can't do that they will think you are poor!" I did it anyway and I was able to start generating my own money from that.
Creating wealth doesn't have to be difficult as long as we stop being scared and believing that we can't.
No one told you that you could walk either, but you did! Federico was a mentor to me that day.
If you can't walk, then don't give up - at least crawl - either way you will get there.
So for me now as I start my internet business, he inspires me.
My results are small after the first couple of months, but then i am just crawling.
My results however if I continue at the same result of growth over the next six months will take me to areas i have never dreamed possible.
I won't be walking then - I will be sprinting.
And if you see my boy - please don't tell him he can't.
