Use Design Software at Bluemountain.com

• 1). Visit Bluemountain.com. Highlight the "Create and Print" tab and select "Placecards."
  
  
• 2). Choose from the available place card designs. If the design is free then the page will transition to the "Create and Print Workspace." If the design is not free, then there will be a "Join to create and print" button on the following page. Click the button to register and pay for membership. At the end of this process, the page will transition to the workspace.
  
  
• 3). Click the "text" button on the left side of the page then click on the default name on the card. A box appears over the name, making this section active. Replace the name with that of one of the guests. Use the text tools at the top of the workspace to change the size, color, font and placement of the text.
  
  
• 4). Enhance the appearance of the place card as desired. For instance, it is possible to insert pictures, add layers and rotate the placecard.
  
  
• 5). Insert a sheet of cardstock paper into the printer tray. Click the "Print project" button at the end of the editing process. Bluemountain includes solid lines on the printouts that serve as guides when cutting the placecards out.
  
  
• 6). Repeat steps 3 to 5 for as many placecards as needed.
  
  

Download a Template from Microsoft

• 1). Visit Microsoft's website and browse through the selection of templates. Note that Microsoft provides the name of the program required for each template underneath the image. The programs used include Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel and different versions of MS Word.
  
  
• 2). Roll the mouse over the desired template. A box with a "Download" button appears over the image. Click the button.
  
  
• 3). Accept Microsoft's Service Agreement to proceed. Choose a location in which to save the file and click the "Save" button. Go to the folder containing the file and double-click the template to open it.
  
  
• 4). Click a sample name on the template and type the name of a guest. Enhance the place card with the tools in the program, if you wish. For instance, you can increase the size of the design around the guest's name, change the background color and select a different font.
  
  
• 5). Place the cardstock into the printer tray and print the placecard. Use the lines included on the template, if applicable, to cut the placecards out and then fold them.
