How do I Share One LCD Monitor With a PC & an XBox 360?
- 1). Place the video switching box next to the PC. Plug the power cord in for power. Place the Xbox 360 video game console next to the PC. Plug the power cord in for power.
- 2). Plug the connector of the Xbox 360 HD cable into the console's output connector. Plug the Red, Green and Blue component cables at the other end of the Xbox 360 HD cable into the appropriate connections on the video switching box.
- 3). Attach one end of a DVI cable to the output connector on the back of the PC. Plug the other end of the DVI cable into the DVI input on the video switching box.
- 4). Plug one end of a DVI cable into the DVI output on the video switching box. Plug the other end of the DVI cable into the video input on the LCD monitor.
- 5). Turn on the video switching box. Turn on the monitor. Turn on the PC. Turn on the Xbox 360. Rotate the knob on the video switching box to "DVI." If there are push buttons instead, then press the "DVI" push button.
- 6). Go to "Start," "My Computer," then "Control Panel" on the PC. Select 'Displays" from the window that appears. Click on the "Display" tab at the top of the window that appears. Select the highest resolution available from the list beneath the "Display" tab. Click the "Apply" button. Close the window by clicking the red "X" in the upper right corner.
- 7). Rotate the knob on the video switching box to "Component." If there are push buttons instead, then press the "Component" push button.
- 8). Navigate to "Settings" on the Xbox 360. Select "Video." Select the "Component" setting from beneath "Video." Navigate back to the Home menu.
- 9). Turn off the PC, Xbox 360, LCD monitor and video switching box when done in this order.
