According to GayCities.com, Phoenix "has a thriving gay community" with a burgeoning club scene of rich, ethnic diversity. Though there is only one club specifically geared toward the transgendered community, Phoenix has plenty of transgender friendly clubs. Located primarily in the central part of the city between Seventh avenue and Seventh street, the city's gay bars feature a number of female impersonator shows, and a few of these clubs have transgendered waitstaff. - The "2005 Best of Phoenix" column in "The Phoenix New Times"' rates Cruisin' 7th as "Best Place to Meet a Tranny," describing the club as a bit rough around the edges on the outside, but a fun, lively place on the inside that has become very popular with Phoenix's transgendered and transsexual folk. The club's drag shows, featuring Ineda Buffet, Devina, and Evelyn Edwards, continue to make weekends at Cruisin' 7th the place to meet for members of Phoenix's transgendered community.

cruisin7th.net/index.htm - The 2009 Best of Phoenix column in the "New Times" rates Paco Paco Club's Friday nights as "best gay Latin dance night." While transgendered bartenders serve up the drinks, gays, lesbians, straights and the transgendered set strut their stuff to high-energy Latin house, electro, trance, and cumbias on a dance floor pulsating with multicolored lights. Paco Paco also regularly features popular drag artist Sandra performing lip-synched renditions of pop hits, and drag shows with sultry cross-dressers. Planet Nightlife says Paco Paco is mainly geared to homosexual Hispanic males, but everybody is welcome.

(602) 263-8424 - In addition to Cruisin' 7th and Paco Paco Club, Trans Harmony, a transgendered support group in Phoenix, recommends The Oz as "a safe haven for transgendered people." The Oz's website describes itself as a nonpretentious place offering Phoenix's gay community a safe, clean, and friendly environment. You won't find a drag show at the Oz, but you will find a laid-back atmosphere where you can shoot pool and shoot the breeze with Phoenix's gay community.
