WD-40

• WD-40 is a product with many uses, including lubricating and removing rust and moisture. However, it can also be used to clean soap scum off shower doors, especially when hard water is present. All you need to do is spray the WD-40 onto the glass shower door, let it sit for two to three minutes, and wipe it away. It is safe to get WD-40 on your skin, but you can use cleaning gloves if you prefer.
  
  

Baking Soda

• Baking soda is good at cleaning many things, including soap scum. It will take a bit of scrubbing, but using baking soda to clean glass shower doors is inexpensive and eco-friendly. Put on cleaning gloves, and take a steel wool cleaning pad or cleaning sponge that is soaked in hot water. Liberally sprinkle baking soda on the sponge, and scrub the shower door with it. Keep your cleaning sponge damp and sprinkled with baking soda for this remedy to be effective.
  
  

Cleaning Erasers

• Cleaning erasers are finely textured special sponges that have cleaning solution embedded in them. There are several brands of cleaning erasers available, including the brand Mr. Clean, and some brands even have specially formulated cleaning erasers meant just for use in the bathroom. To get the soap scum off of your glass shower door with a cleaning eraser, soak the eraser with warm water and wring out the excess. Scrub the shower door with the cleaning eraser, rinsing it out with more warm water occasionally.
  
  

Stain Remover

• Liquid laundry stain removers can do double duty as a cleaner for glass shower doors. Simply pour some on a cleaning sponge or steel wool cleaning pad and rub it on the shower door--the soap scum should come right off the glass. Then rinse it off with hot water.
  
  

White Vinegar

• White vinegar is an inexpensive, convenient all-purpose household cleaner. Many people know that it works well when it comes to cleaning windows, but white vinegar can also remove the soap scum from shower doors. Simply soak a steel wool cleaning pad with the vinegar and scrub your shower door. Wear gloves while cleaning with the vinegar, and keep the bathroom well ventilated.
