How to Make a Scrapbook for the Mother of the Bride
- 1). Gather photographs and ideas so you can determine how large your scrapbook will be and what photos to include. You may just want photos of the bride and her mom together. Or you may want just photos of the happy couple. Most likely, you will want to include a wide range of photos such as childhood, photos of the bride with her mom and dad, and photos of the engaged couple.
- 2). Once you see how many photos you want to use, purchase a scrapbook. While other sizes are available, the most popular options include 12-by-12 inches, 8 1/2-by-11 inches, and 8-by-8 inches. You can add pages to your album if needed.
- 3). Organize the photos according to page.
- 4). Buy card stock, patterned paper and any embellishments you want to use. You might decide to add wedding-themed stickers. You can include ribbon, paper flowers, shiny buttons and other decorations that enhance your theme. Keep in mind that the album can include other types of embellishments as well, such as stamps, paint, ink and brads.
- 5). Design the scrapbook page using the photos, papers and embellishments. Once everything is in place, affix the items to the page with your choice of adhesives.
- 6). Add journaling using an acid-free pen. You can also print your journaling onto white or ivory card stock using your computer and a font you like. Add journaling to the page.
