How to Transfer iTunes From One Apple to Another
- 1). Click the "Apple" icon on the desktop's menu bar and click "System Preferences." Click "Sharing" and select "File Sharing" in the Sharing window.
- 2). Click the plus sign underneath "Folders" and double-click the "iTunes" folder to include it in the shared folders. Click the plus sign under "Users" and add the account name of the alternate Apple computer.
- 3). Click the "AirPort" icon on the menu bar at the top of the screen and connect to the same network as the alternate computer.
- 4). Select the "Finder" icon on the secondary computer's desktop dock and click the name of the primary computer underneath the "Shared" header in the Finder's side menu.
- 5). Double-click the "Shared" folder and drag the "iTunes" folder to your desktop to transfer the folder to the secondary computer.
- 6). Double-click the "iTunes" folder on the secondary computer's desktop and highlight all of the files and folders in the folder. Right-click (or "Control" and click) the highlighted files and select "Open with iTunes."
- 7). Click "Store" at the top of the iTunes menu and click "Authorize Computer." Enter the iTunes account e-mail address and password and click "Authorize" to authorize the alternate computer.
