Bible Lessons & Crafts for 7-Year-Olds
- The story of David and Goliath, found in 1 Samuel 16:1-23 of the Old Testament, explains how young David's faith in God allows him to defeat the mighty Goliath. Use this opportunity to teach that with enough faith in God, anything becomes possible, no matter your size. Reinforce the lesson with a simple craft. Painting small rocks with acrylic paint and using a permanent marker to draw crosses on them once dry gives the children small reminders of the lesson that they can carry in their pockets.
- Luke 10: 25-37 relates the story of the Good Samaritan who stopped to help his fellow man, even when others wouldn't. This story teaches the student that she should show kindness and love to other people. Emphasize during the reading that Jesus loves everyone and that she should try to do the same. Reinforce the lesson by making a "What Would Jesus Do" bracelet by stringing pony beads along with the letter beads "W", "W", "J" and "D" on some elastic string.
