How do I Remove the Keyboard on an Acer Aspire 5000?
- 1). Turn off your laptop, remove the AC power cord and unplug the battery from its compartment on the bottom of the computer.
- 2). Turn the computer around so the back of it faces you and remove the three screws along the back panel of the laptop, near the hinges.
- 3). Turn the computer around again so you are facing the keyboard and gently pull the plastic frame above the keyboard up and remove it from the computer.
- 4). Remove the two screws just above the keyboard and then lift the keyboard up from the laptop.
- 5). Unplug the ribbon cable from the back of the keyboard and set the keyboard aside.
