Prophetic Evangelism Chapter 2 - Finding the Person to Witness To
The Lord always wants to speak to different individuals and He's got messages for all sorts of people from all sorts of walks of life.
God wants to lead you to certain people.
Now, Bill Johnson, in Redding, California has a type of way that they do prophetic evangelism.
They get names and words of knowledge like names or shirts or pictures of the people, like I was on a treasure hunt, and there are clues.
They see people that fulfill the clues and they go up to them and pray and minister with the people, and give them prophetic words, and do healing.
I find a different way.
What I find is it's just like a periscope in a submarine.
You know how they put the periscope up and they'll look across the ocean and you see a little blot on the screen and you keep on going.
If you come back, you can see that little blot on the screen.
It means the ship, that they're focusing and they can see that there is a ship there.
Well similarly, as you cast your eyes across a bus or a train or a crowded room, someone will stand out, like their face will be shining more.
If you look at all the faces in the room and come back to that person, their face will just be standing out.
That's the way I see people and as soon as I see a person like that, I ask the Lord what the message is for the person or ask the Lord, "Do you want me to speak to that person?" The Lord says, "Yes.
" It's quite alright for you to have a bit of a tug-of-war at this stage.
It's quite alright for you to have a little bit of a fight in your spirit whether you want to forward and speak a prophetic word to the person.
Jesus knows the message that He wants that person to hear and sometimes it's best to ask the Lord Jesus or ask the Father what the message is or part of the message is that He wants that person to hear.
I found in the past that hearing part of the message God has for a person puts my fear at bay.
When Jesus tells me the partial message or the whole message that inspired me to share it A message that's comforting for the person that I can see moves me forward.
So, please be aware that if you're not with a group, if you're by yourself, it can be hard sometimes to approach a total stranger.
So, it's beneficial to ask the Lord if you're in a quandary, if you're in a place where you're in "no man's land," where you can't decide whether to approach a person or not and you're sort of deciding that you're not going to share a prophetic word.
It's best to ask the Lord whether He wants you to share a prophetic word and if you're still struggling to ask the Lord what the word is, that will often get you off the line, gets you to approach the person.
You could read the book Treasure Hunt from Bill Johnson's church.
One of the people in Bill Johnson's church wrote a book of Treasure Hunt and you might find his method of getting clues is more exciting.
It would be exciting to go out with a group.
I have ministered for four, five years in prophetic evangelism and never really had a person gifted in the prophetic that wanted to come out and do prophetic evangelism with me.
If I was over in Bill's church in Redding California, where it seems a lot of people are turned on to it and they go out in groups of two or three and I would have a fun time doing it with groups.
Though, if I had to wait for someone who was excited about doing it, to join me, I would never have done the thousands that I have beforehand.
So I hope that you've learned a little in this and I just didn't stick to the subject Finding the Person to Witness To but if you're prayed up and the Lord is with you and you've asked the Lord for some divine appointments during the day.
You'll find that people will stand out and when you ask the Lord, have He got a prophetic word for them, you'll hear the Lord say "Yes.
" When you ask what the prophetic word is He'll give you a portion of the prophetic word.
So, then it is just time for you to go up and approach them and deliver the prophetic word.
