Located just north of the Ozark National Forest, the community of Ponca draws visitors for a variety of outdoor recreation. The community is in the Buffalo National River Park and adjacent to Lost Valley State Park. There are a few cabins near the Buffalo River in Ponca for visitors to enjoy. - The Buffalo River Cabins offer three cabin locations and styles for guests. The Mountain Top Luxury Cabins offer views of the Buffalo River. There are 11 options of Mountain Top Luxury cabins, ranging from cabins that can house two guests to units that can house 24 people. The Valley Luxury cabins offer three different cabins, two of which are made for two people and one cabin that can sleep up to eight. The Classic Cabins have six cabin options, all of which sleep six guests each. The log cabins are all fully furnished but feature different sizes and views to suit different guests. Each cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen and bath, and pets are allowed to stay for a fee.

buffaloriver.com - Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging features three furnished cabins with fully stocked kitchens. Each cabin features a full bath, grill and hot tub. Guests are welcome to bring pets. The Hillside Cabin option features rustic decor and two upstairs beds overlooking an old mill pond. The Whitaker Cabin features two bedrooms, a pull-out sofa bed, a hot tub and a wood stove. The smallest cabin, the Adds Creek Cottage, features a deck and hot tub overlooking Adds Creek.

The lodge is fully furnished with satellite television and wireless Internet throughout the property. Cedar Crest features four master suites, each with its own Jacuzzi tub, screened-in porch and private upper loft. The second floor common area features an entertainment center, board games and a library. The outside deck features a stone fireplace, grill and a bridge crossing over Adds Creek. The bridge leads to an upper pavilion with two outdoor stone fireplaces.

The property features hardwood floors throughout, a rock fireplace, antique furniture, wildlife mounts and hand-stitched quilts. The cabin is surrounded by hiking trails, fishing spots and frequently you'll see elk roaming the grounds.
