How to Fix a Disabled Keyboard Mouse
- 1). Click the "Start" button (or "Windows" logo on Vista), and then click "Control Panel."
- 2). Switch to "Classic View" if it's not already displayed, and double-click "Device Manager." Choose "Continue" if Windows asks for your permission.
- 3). Click the "+" sign next to "Mice and other pointing devices," and choose the disabled keyboard mouse. It may be listed as a mouse, touchpad, pointing stick, or TrackPoint, depending on what type of keyboard mouse it is.
- 4). Right-click the disabled mouse, and select "Enable." Once Windows has finished processing your request, you will be able to control your keyboard mouse.
