Removing Algae and Mildew Stains From a Hammock

    • 1). Brush away large pieces of algae and mildew off the hammock using an old towel.

    • 2). Spread the hammock on a clean flat surface, such as a driveway.

    • 3). Dab spot remover on each algae and mildew stain. Let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes.

    • 4). Hose the hammock down with a garden hose. Add 2 to 4 drops of liquid dish soap, and scrub the hammock with a soapy sponge and bucket. Rinse with the garden hose. Turn the hammock over and repeat the washing process on the other side.

    • 5). Press excess water out of the hammock and allow it to air dry for 1 to 2 hours.
