How to Decrease Hardware Acceleration for Your Video Adapter

    • 1). Open your "Start" menu and click "Control Panel." If it's not visible, look under "Settings."

    • 2). Open the "Display" icon.

    • 3). Select the "Settings" tab and click "Advanced."

    • 4). Select the "Troubleshoot" tab and move the "Hardware acceleration" bar to your desired level of acceleration. As you change to each setting, a quick description will appear describing the kinds of problems it's meant to address. When you've finished, click "OK," then click "OK" again in the next window.

    • 5). Restart your computer to finalize the changes.
