Asking God to Save You Is Just One Step Before Asking The Government Too
Not long ago, a religious chap told me that god would take me in and all I had to do was spend 30-seconds, close my eyes, and ask god for forgiveness and invite him into my life, and accept him as my personal savior.
Interesting concept isn't it - from a philosophical standpoint, and from a psychological conditioning standpoint that is.
Okay so, let's talk shall we? "What's the harm" he asked, "all it can do is help you," he said.
He was shocked that I laughed at this notion, he couldn't understand why.
However, I explained, even if I needed a miracle, I'd be more inclined to create it myself, willing my own events to occur in my favor rather than to trust an illusion or mental image created in the mind by philosophical and mass psychological manipulation of a nonsensical circular argument.
The concept of being "Saved" is really a concept of mental surrender, forget that.
Strength of character is where it's at and you don't need a god-myth for that.
Besides that, what exactly is this "invisible friend" mental image supposed to save you from anyway? Why would anyone attempt to enter the realm of schizophrenia, even for a "look-see" or for 30-seconds attempt to convince themselves of this god-entity.
Further, if one believes that a god can save you, well, then you are psychologically conditioned to believe a government, led by politicians can save you too.
Or, a corporation, pharmaceutical drug, or multi-level-marketing scam is the answer to all your ills.
If you are stressed in life, ask yourself why? Perhaps it is due to the ironically confusing and hypocritical demands of a religion, or the mistakes of leadership in our government, or someone taking advantage of you in business, employment, or a business deal.
But chances are it is your own behavior in dealing with people, or the fact that you've attempted to pass off your responsibilities on someone else, some other organization, or an intangible and invisible friend.
Yes, personal responsibility is tough, but that's what comes with freedom.
If you surrender you mind to another to shove off those responsibilities, you are also giving up your own free-will, freedom, and mind.
Hey, that's your choice, but if you take the bait, and start down that road, I suppose it's a lot like a mental drug, and you are bound to pay the price in this life and miss opportunities for living a full and happy life experience in the present.
Is it really worth it to create an invisible mind, and trick yourself into pretend'ism? Are you going to take the red pill or the blue one?
