How to Remove the Cabinet From a Kenmore Series 80 Washer
- 1). Remove the screws located at the top of the washer on each corner of the control console. Sometimes these screws are located on the back of the console.
- 2). Pull up on the control console to dislodge it from the retaining clips. Move the control console back to reveal the spring hinge clips, which have a wavy shape and are located near the console screw holes.
- 3). Use the flat-head screwdriver to unhinge the spring clips from the washer top.
- 4). Detach the wiring harness from the washer by unplugging its washer top connecting point, which is housed in a white, plastic clip.
- 5). Open the washer lid and pull the entire cabinet away from the washer by grabbing the sides with your arms.
